Virat Kohli, the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, has been declared match fit by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday (April 13) and as a result, he is now available for his team’s next fixture in the 2017 Indian Premier League against Mumbai Indians in Bangalore on April 14.
Kohli was initially sidelined with a shoulder injury that he sustained in the third Test against Australia last month and had stressed on taking the field only after regaining full fitness keeping the Champions Trophy in mind. “The Indian Captain had undergone rehabilitation after sustaining an injury to his right shoulder and has now recovered to be able to participate in VIVO IPL 2017,” the BCCI said in a statement.
